Using Our Services
Do you offer discounts on bulk orders?
Yes we do for Managing A Special Needs Trust:
• 6 – 10 books, 15% discount: $21.21/book + shipping
• 11 – 20 books, 25% discount: $18.71/book + shipping
• 21 – 40 books, 35% discount: $16.22/book + shipping
Discounts will be applied automatically in the shopping cart

What can I do if my credit card has been rejected?
First, please be sure to:
• Enter your credit card number with NO SPACES or punctuation marks of any kind between the groups of numbers.
• Enter the Bill To address exactly as it appears on the monthly statement from your credit card company.
• If this still does not work, please try another credit card.
If you are still experiencing difficulty, please contact us and include your telephone number, your time zone, and convenient times to return your call.
The shipping charges are grouped in tiers:
• 1 book – $6.00
• 2 – 5 books – $8.00
• 6 – 10 books – $12.00
• 11 – 20 books – $18.00
• 21 – 40 books – $26.00
Shipping charges will be applied directly in the shopping cart
• Special shipping rates apply to orders of 41 books or more. Please contact us for details.
When will I receive my order?
Orders are typically sent out within three business days. Delivery time will vary depending on your location. You should receive your order within ten days.
Fulfillment is through WORK Inc., Dorchester MA and books are shipped by FedEx Ground. It is the mission of WORK, Inc. to ensure that all individuals with disabilities have the ability to grow, the right to make choices, access to education, and the opportunity to participate in community life via meaningful work.
What if I want a rush delivery?
We may be able to do a rush delivery. Please call (781) 640-2392 to discuss the shipping options and costs. If you get Voice Mail, please be sure to suggest convenient times to return your call and leave a call-back number.
In this way we can determine the extra charge for rush delivery. The price will vary depending on your distance from WORK, Inc.
Do you have a retail store I can visit?
No. We only sell online, by phone and by mail.
Can I order by mail or telephone?

By telephone: (781) 640-2392. If possible, please call during regular business hours (we are on Eastern time). You will need a credit card to place your order. If your call is answered by voice mail, please leave your name, telephone number, and convenient times to return your call. We try to return all calls within 24 hours.
Can an organization re-sell your books?
Yes. Sometimes, organizations sell our books for fundraising at conferences and other meetings. Please call (781) 640-2392 or contact us for details.
I live in Massachusetts and was charged sales tax for a book I bought. But when I bought a book for shipment to my cousin who is out of state, I did not pay tax. Why?
As a Massachusetts company, disAbilities Books Press, LLC is required to collect sales tax on any goods shipped to in-state customers.
Non-profits do not pay sales tax. If you place an order for a Massachusetts nonprofit, please call (781) 640-2392 or contact us to let us know so that we can refund the sales tax.
When we ship out of state, we are not required to charge the state sales taxes.
I did not get what I had ordered. What can I do about it?
We try not to make mistakes, but sometimes do. Please contact us with a description of the problem (e.g. what you ordered and what you received), your name and phone number. If it is available, please include the date of your order and the order number.
